For Meredith, the dream of motherhood has finally arrived with the adoption of two adolescent girls. But the idyllic life she imagined quickly sours into a waking nightmare. As her daughters exhibit increasingly erratic and strange behavior, Meredith finds herself drowning in the pressures of her new role. A chilling question begins to haunt the household: are the sisters suffering from a shared psychotic break, or is a sinister, unseen presence manipulating their fate?
